Ecommerce Applications

There are a million ecommerce applications floating around on the Internet. The trick is finding the right app for your company.

Whilst webtactics have used many ecommerce app’s, we tend to either stick with NetSuite, or Shopify most of the time

NetSuite is perfect where rthe backend integration with the ERP system is invaluable, or where a pure ecommerce system is needed, we use Shopify.

Both are hosted applications, that is, there is nothing to add to your servers, all the software is run by either NetSuite or Shopify. You can read more about the advantages of online software, here.

NetSuite:

Shopify is built with Ruby on Rails, persisted by MySQL, served by Nginx and secured by OpenBSD.
